Kover attends Eurasian house speakers' summit in Kazakhstan

Hungarians are proud of being "the westernmost eastern nation", Speaker of Parliament Laszlo Kover said at the fourth Eurasian summit meeting of house speakers in Nur-Sultan on Tuesday. Hungary's foreign policy lays emphasis on developing ties with eastern, Asian nations on the basis of common historical and cultural traditions; this is why in 2011 the government announced its foreign policy strategy of eastern opening, which brought upon major progress in trade, economic, educational and cultural relations, parliament's press chief Zoltan Szilagyi quoted the house speaker as saying.
