Korcok talks to Tsikhanouskaya, expressing support to democratic Belarus

The Slovak Government remains committed to supporting Belarusian civil society and democratic Belarus, Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok said via a phone call with former Belarusian presidential candidate and leader of the exile opposition Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya on Monday, the ministry's press department said. They discussed the current situation in Belarus, the continuing repression of President Alexander Lukashenko government against political opposition, journalists and civic activists, as well as the European Union and the international community's actions against Lukashenko's regime, which, according to Korcok, is violently suppressing the efforts of Belarusians to live in a free society.
