Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok said on Wednesday that the country is set to open a Slovak Institute in Jerusalem on September 1. The aim of the move is to bolster bilateral relations and collaboration between Slovakia and Israel, with emphasis being put on culture, tourism, trade and economic cooperation. According to Korcok, Slovakia at the same time intends to expand the network of its specific representation offices abroad. Currently, the country has only eight representation offices that primarily deal with cultural representation, so the one in Jerusalem will become the ninth.
