Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok on Tuesday met his Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York. Korcok confirmed to al-Maliki that Slovakia continues to support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "We agreed that we'll continue to be in touch at the political level," Korcok said. "I assured him of Slovakia's continuing support for development projects via the SlovakAid programme and the granting of government scholarships." At the same time, Korcok informed his Palestinian counterpart about the goals of the Slovak institute in Jerusalem, which was recently set up with the aim of supporting cultural and economic cooperation with Israel.
