Korcok praises Slovak troops for their peacekeeping activities on Cyprus

Chief of Slovak diplomacy Ivan Korcok has praised the professionalism, determination and perseverance of the Slovak Armed Forces involved in the UNFICYP mission on Cyprus on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the UN mission's beginning, the foreign ministry's press department told TASR on Friday. Korcok called the participation in the UNFICYP mission a long-term priority in peacekeeping. "I'm proud of the men and women representing Slovakia in the mission under the UN flag," Korcok said. "During the course of their twenty years on the mission, they have become respected members of international teams and carried out plenty of challenging tasks."
