Korcok off to New York for opening ceremony of 76th UN General Assembly

Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok has departed for New York to attend the opening ceremony of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly, the Foreign Affairs Ministry told TASR on Monday. During his visit Korcok is set to meet top UN representatives and hold a series of bilateral talks with partners from several countries, including Russia, Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Azerbaijan and Georgia. On the eve of the beginning of the general debate, Korcok will take part in an informal meeting of EU heads of diplomacy that will focus on the situation in Afghanistan.
