Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok does not support Slovakia's exit from the Visegrad Group, but he does not want it to profile itself as a political bloc within the European Union, as he does not view that as "a good idea". Korcok noted on social media on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the V4's founding on Monday that Slovakia also committed itself to regional cooperation within the V4 in the government manifesto. He denied questioning the V4's role and stressed that Slovakia, like the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland, has been using this grouping to assert its interests and strengthen its national positions.
