Korcok in Brussels requests speedy investigation into Chovanec's tragic death

Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok requested a meeting with his Belgian counterpart in Brussels on Monday at which he asked for an expeditious investigation into the tragic death of Slovak citizen Jozef Chovanec, the ministry communications department told TASR on Monday. Chovanec died in February 2018 after being detained by the Belgian federal police at Brussels South Charleroi Airport. Korcok confirmed that Slovakia expects a speedy and thorough investigation into the case and for those responsible to be punished.
