Korcok: Finland's and Sweden's application to join NATO a historic decision

Finland's and Sweden's application to join the North Atlantic Alliance, delivered to the NATO Secretary General on Wednesday, is a historic decision, Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok stated on Wednesday, the ministry's communication department told TASR. "The free and sovereign decision of both countries to apply for NATO membership is a response to the military conflict in Europe caused by Russia in Ukraine, which caused fundamental changes in the security environment," said the head of Slovak diplomacy.
