Korcok calls on Venezuela to reverse decision to expel EU ambassador

Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok on Thursday condemned Venezuela's decision to expel the head of EU diplomacy in Venezuela Isabel Brilhante Pedrosa and called for the decision to be reversed. "This decision will only lead to another crisis and the international isolation of [Venezuela]," he said on Twitter. The European Union has already condemned the expulsion and said that Venezuela will only overcome the current political and economic crisis through dialogue and negotiations. However, according to the EU, the expulsion of the ambassador is undermining efforts for a dialogue.
