By recognising the separatist republics in Donbas in Ukraine, Russia has flagrantly violated international law and its international commitments, Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok told a press conference on Tuesday. "It's apparent that the Russian Federation is already open about the fact that the very existence of Ukraine is a problem with which it cannot cope," said Korcok, stressing that this problem concerns the whole of Europe, including Slovakia. The minister noted that what he finds extremely dangerous is that the borders and existence of a state in Europe are justified and denied by historical claims. "With its decision, Russia is in fact negating all of the demands that it has communicated to NATO and its member states in recent weeks regarding the security of the Russian Federation," Korcok said.
