Kollar: Matica Slovenska budget 'embarrassment'

Matica slovenska (MS) plays an important role even in the 21st century as a Slovak national heritage organisation, yet its financing is rather subpar, House Chair Boris Kollar declared after paying a visit to the MS headquarters in Martin (Zilina region) on Thursday. "Since its inception, Matica slovenska has served as a firm foundation to our nation, whether in times good or challenging. I wish it to continue its mission to build and reinforce in Slovaks their national awareness and firm up their relation with our state," said Kollar.
