Kollar: Balkan countries deserve support in EU-membership bids

Slovakia supports the accession of Balkan countries to the EU, Slovak House Chair Boris Kollar told journalists before a meeting of the parliamentary chairs of the Visegrad Four countries and states of southeastern Europe in Budapest on Friday. "I think that, unfortunately, some western countries harbour reservations or don't make an effort to accelerate the process, but I think that this is what's great about the V4 format, and, I should say, the Austerlitz format [Austria, the Czech Republic and Slovakia], as Austria supports and champions this as well," stated Kollar.
