February 4th, 2021
Foreign Affairs Ministry state secretary Martin Klus has reported on Facebook that procedures on the border with Austria will change as of February 10 due to a new set of measures adopted by the Austrian government. According to Klus, cross-border commuters heading for Austria will be obliged to present a certificate proving that they have tested negative for coronavirus. Although it will not matter whether they've been tested with an antigen or PCR test, the test result certificate cannot be older than seven days. At the same time, commuters will have to fill in an online form at least once per week. Cross-border commuters will be exempted from quarantine upon entering the country, however.
