Klus: Border closure not 'magic wand' for solving pandemic

Closing borders is not a "magic wand" with which to solve the problem of the coronavirus epidemic, Foreign Affairs Ministry State Secretary Martin Klus has told TASR TV, adding that the currently stricter border regulations are part of a whole system of measures. "The border arrangements that were introduced on February 17 will be in effect until the end of February. This is what we agreed at the cabinet meeting," Klus said. "Naturally, there's a possibility that these arrangements will be prolonged. However, I very much hope that the vaccinations and lockdown that we currently have in Slovakia will gradually start to bring results."
