Klaus must pay fine for refusal to wear face mask

Former Czech president Vaclav Klaus must pay the fine of 8,000 crowns for appearing without the mandatory COVID face mask at a public rally last year, under the decision confirmed by the Health Ministry. The ministry has refused Klaus's appeal against the punishment. The information was confirmed by Klaus's lawyer Zdenek Koudelka. Klaus also must pay another 1,000 crowns for the costs of the trial. He will now file an administrative complaint with the Prague municipal court, Koudelka said.
