Kiska appoints university professors for last time

President Andrej Kiska on Tuesday handed over decrees of appointment to 37 new university professors at the Presidential Palace in Bratislava, Henrieta Hajtova of the Slovak president's press office told TASR. According to Kiska, it will be professors in particular who will determine whether the output of Slovak science will grow. "I've spoken many times about the need to regain respect for education. We forget what our fathers, grandfathers and great grandfathers knew that a high-quality education is the most valuable thing that we and our society can give to our children," Kiska said at the ceremony.
