Kia launches plug-in hybrid Sportage model

Kia Slovakia launched a plug-in hybrid version of its latest Sportage model in early February, its third electric version of Sportage following a hybrid and mild-hybrid model, TASR learnt from company spokesperson Tomas Potocek on Thursday. The plug-in hybrid system of the fifth-generation Sportage model contains a turbo-gasoline motor 1.6 T-GDI in combination with an automatic transmission, electric motor, lithium-ion battery and a four-wheel drive.
