Kalousek to join VZP public health insurance company's board

Former TOP 09 chairman Miroslav Kalousek, senator Roman Kraus (Civic Democrats, ODS) and Deputy Health Minister Josef Pavlovic (Pirates) will join the administrative board of the public VZP General Health Insurance Company, the cabinet decided on Wednesday and released it on its website. VZP is the biggest Czech health insurance company. In the past, the Pirates contested Kalousek's nomination for the board. Former finance minister Kalousek, a seasoned politician and eloquent speaker, heralded his withdrawal from politics before the autumn general election last year, but later, he was mentioned as a possible presidential candidate.
