Ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has been awarded the 2019 Man of the Year title by the right-wing Gazeta Polska weekly. Receiving the award, Kaczynski said it was given to him because his party won the elections for the second time in a row, and it should be given to the entire formation for their hard work. Also, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's father and anti-communist activist Kornel Morawiecki was posthumously awarded the St. Gregory the Great distinction.
