The European Court on Monday discussed some aspects of the "Stop Soros" law package in light of infringement proceedings launched against Hungary in 2018, Justice Minister Judit Varga said on Facebook. Objections raised include provisions in the Penal Code that criminalise aiding and abetting illegal migration, Varga noted. The minister accused the European Commission of expecting Hungary, thereby, to essentially give its support for human trafficking. Varga said it had been apparent since 2015 that Brussels wanted to deprive EU member states that refuse to take in illegal migrants of their funding. She said the court procedure was "yet another shining example" of this.
