Javorcik: Slovakia to support EC's proposal on budget and recovery plan

Slovakia agrees with the European Commission's (EC) proposal for a revised seven-year European Union budget for 2021-27 and a recovery and resilience plan to revive the European economy after the coronacrisis, stated head of Slovakia's Permanent Representation to the EU Peter Javorcik on Friday. EU heads of states and governments began discussing these proposals via a video conference on Friday morning. In an interview with TASR, Javorcik noted that the video summit isn't trying to reach a compromise agreement at this stage of the talks - this is not expected until July at the earliest.
