Interval between Pfizer jab doses may be shortened to 34 days

June 28th, 2021

People may move up the receipt of their second dose of the coronavirus vaccine from Pfizer/BioNTech by up to eight days, Czech Health Minister Adam Vojtech said on Twitter on Monday. Until now, vaccination centres automatically set the date of the second Pfizer/BioNTech dose 42 days after the first one was administered, which was an upper limit. In May, chief public health officer Pavla Svrcinova still said the date of the second dose could only be changed for health reasons.
