Czechia's capacity of intensive care is close to exhaustion, some 15 percent of beds remain free and it may get completely filled, at over 95 percent, in two to three weeks, also due to lacking qualified staff, Deputy Health Minister Vladimir Cerny said amid the surging COVID epidemic today. There were over 6,500 patients with COVID-19 in hospital on Monday, out of whom more than 1,300 needed intensive care and 660 were connected to a ventilator, according to the Health Ministry's data.
