Hungary to introduce electronic home quarantine monitoring system

May 5th, 2020

Under a new government decree, compliance with home quarantine rules can be monitored electronically for those who agree to it, a spokesman of the operative board in charge of coordinating the response to the novel coronavirus epidemic said on Tuesday. The system has proven effective in other countries and will soon be introduced in Hungary as well, Robert Kiss told an online press conference. On another subject, he said that since Monday, transit routes across the country had been open to freight trucks between 8pm to noon the following day.
