Hungary records 31 deaths, 1,492 new infections over the weekend

Thirty-one patients died of a Covid-related illness over the weekend, while 1,492 new coronavirus infections were registered, koronavirus.gov.hu said on Monday. So far 5,895,282 people have received a first jab, while 5,657,967 have been fully vaccinated. Fully 804,000 Hungarians have received a booster jab. The number of active infections stands at 7,909, while hospitals are treating 560 Covid patients, 87 of whom need respiratory assistance. Since the first outbreak, 824,876 infections have been registered, while fatalities have risen to 30,230. Fully 786,737 people have made a recovery. There are 5,458 people in official quarantine, while 6,980,188 tests have been officially carried out.
