Hungary budget deficit 2.1 pc of GDP in 2019

Hungary's budget ran a 985 billion forint (EUR 2.7bn) deficit last year, equivalent to 2.1 percent of GDP, data compiled by the Central Statistical Office in the framework of an excessive deficit procedure show. The deficit was revised from 958 billion forints, equivalent to 2.0 percent of GDP, in a preliminary reading released in the spring.
