Hungarian PM Viktor Orban announced on Friday that a resolution adopted by the European Parliament (EP) on Thursday to condemn Poland was not based on facts. PM Orban said in a statement that Poland's rule of law met European standards, and that all statements undermining this as well as the EP resolution were groundless. The Hungarian prime minister declared that Hungary had been firmly supporting Poland, and argued that the condemnation of Poland had a political nature and was another attack of European liberals against a Christian and conservative Poland.
