President Janos Ader and Austrian counterpart Alexander Van der Bellen confirmed their respective countries' dedication to preserving good neighbourly relations at their meeting in Vienna on Friday. Ader said at a joint press conference that preserving good neighbourly relations also helped mitigate the effects of the novel coronavirus epidemic. He said Austria was Hungary's second most important trading partner and the third most important investor in Hungary. He added that great losses were suffered in tourism in both countries as a result of the epidemic, with the majority of hotels "empty" in both Budapest and Vienna.
