Hungarian aid worth HUF 11 m sent to Albania

Hungary's disaster management authority OKF sent a consigment including tents, camp beds, blankets, sleeping beds and self-heating food packages worth 11 million forints (EUR 33,000) to Albania on Friday to help recovery efforts in the wake of earthquakes and flash floods that recently hit Durres County in northwestern Albania. Tristan Azbej, the state secretary in charge of helping persecuted Christians and the implementation of the Hungary Helps programme, told the launch event in the OKF that Hungary had reacted without delay to a call for help from Albania.
