Hundreds of believers gathered in Nitra to pay tribute to Saints Cyril and Methodius in a nationwide pilgrimage on Monday, a public holiday in Slovakia, with the Mass being celebrated by Polish Archbishop Stanislaw Gadecki, head of the Episcopal Conference of Poland. Gadecki praised the heritage left behind by Cyril and Methodius, who are said to have brought hristianity to the region and significantly contributed to the formation of the moral foundations of the Slovak nation.
