House: Proposal for one-off allowance for pensioners fails to make It through

A one-off allowance for pensioners won't be introduced in 2022, as Parliament on Friday rejected a bill on social insurance submitted by Independent MPs centred around ex-premier Peter Pellegrini. The allowance was supposed to serve as a one-off compensation payment for extreme increases in the cost of living for the elderly in 2021 and 2022.
