Hospital in Liptovsky Mikulas receives top award for treating strokes

The Ivan Stodola Hospital in Liptovsky Mikulas has been awarded the international Angel Award for its results in treating stroke patients, Zilina self-governing region spokesperson Martina Remencova told TASR on Tuesday. The results are analysed by the European Stroke Organisation (ESO). "Based on collected data, they present the top Angel Awards to high-end facilities treating strokes. The neurology department of the hospital in Liptovsky Mikulas also won the award in 2018, which confirms a high-quality trend," Remencova said, adding that head of the department Michal Kovacik accepted the award in Milan.
