Home schooling improved results of Czech high school entrance exams

June 17th, 2020

The average result of students who underwent the secondary school entrance exams last week are better than last year, also thanks to the closing of schools over the coronavirus epidemic and to intensive home preparation for the exams, the exam organiser Cermat has announced. The results are better especially in the case of eight-year high schools. "It seems clear that the parents used the time when children did not go to school," Cermat said in a press release. In maths, the average result of applicants for eight-year high schools was 10 percentage points better than last year.
