January 26th, 2022
A majority of the Czech public (55 percent) shares the view that the Holocaust is not just a historical event that cannot be repeated, a survey that the NMS Market Research agency carried out earlier this month shows. One third of the respondents (35 percent) agreed with the opinion that systematic persecution and massacre of especially Jewish inhabitants is a singular affair of the Nazi Germany and World War Two. Three fourths of the respondents share the view that more should be said about Holocaust victims. Even more of them, 82 percent, want more attention to be paid to this part of history at school.
