Prime Minister Eduard Heger said on Friday that the situation seen on Thursday, when a crowd that was protesting outside the Presidential Palace started blocking roads in the city centre, with the police taking action only several hours later, must not be repeated. Such scenarios mustn't take place, and it is the job of the police to deal with such protests, said Heger. The police should regulate gatherings of this kind, allowing protesters to express their opinions, but at the same time they should prevent them from endangering other people, including journalists who are only doing their jobs, he remarked.
