Heger for Die Welt: I view Scholz's trip to Kiev positively

Ukraine needs to feel the support of European states, and in addition to humanitarian or military aid, Kiev must be given hope of joining European structures, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger said in an interview with the German daily Die Welt this week. The interview was made shortly before the Slovak premier met German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi came to Kiev on Thursday morning for a visit that was not officially confirmed for security reasons until after it started. Both Scholz and Macron were criticised for not visiting the Ukrainian capital.
