Health Office to slap fines up to EUR 1,659 for failure to wear face masks

The Public Health Office can impose a fine of up to 1,659 euros and police up to 1,000 euros for the failure to comply with the duty to wear a face mask or observe home isolation, according to measures approved by the Public Health Office to slow down the spread of COVID-19. The maximum penalty for the failure to observe restrictions on the public events organisation has been set to 20,000 euros.
