Havrankova becomes first Czech vice-president of Interpol

Sarka Havrankova is the first Czech in history to join the Interpol leadership, the Czech Police Presidium told CTK in reaction to Havrankova's election as Interpol vice-president for Europe at its General Assembly in Santiago de Chile today. At the General Assembly, Havrankova's candidacy for vice-president was supported by 133 out of the 141 voting states. Up to now, Colonel Havrankova has led the Czech Police Presidium's department of international police cooperation.
