Supreme Court judge Stefan Harabin told a news conference on Thursday he would withdraw his candidacy for the Supreme Court president post, and referred to a statement by President Zuzana Caputova, who did not guarantee automatically appointing a candidate elected to the post. "In addition to hidden behind-the-scenes intrigues, which, as always, unfairly decide who will succeed and who won't, there is also direct and visible evidence. Caputova shamelessly said that if she doesn't like a lawfully elected Supreme Court president, she will refuse to appoint him," said Harabin.
