Gyurcsany calls on govt to compensate lost incomes from EU epidemic support

March 31st, 2020

Democratic Coalition (DK) leader Ferenc Gyurcsany has called on the government to use 5.6 billion euros of European Union funding granted to Hungary for handling novel coronavirus to compensate Hungarians who find themselves out of a job. At an online press conference, the leftist party leader said the EU acted fast "for a change", and the money could be accessed within days to compensate for lost incomes.
