Groehling: Schools will be given money for Ukrainian pupils from EU funds

August 16th, 2022

Schools will receive a financial contribution for pupils from Ukraine in September, Education Minister Branislav Groehling (Freedom and Solidarity/SaS) told a press conference on Tuesday, adding that these finances will be from EU funds for the previous March-August period, with the amount exceeding 10 million. In the new school year, funds will be allocated according to the number of children from Ukraine reported by the school at the end of the month. Schools will receive funding every quarter. The contribution per pupil will be approximately 200 per month.
