Govt, trade unions fail to agree on pay rise, meet again in June

The Czech government and trade unions have not agreed on adjustments of salaries in the public sector due to a high inflation today and will meet again for further talks about the issue on June 7, CMKOS umbrella union leader Josef Stredula said after the meeting. The union leaders demand that the salaries be leveled up based on the inflation to preserve their purchasing power.
