Govt spox: Mail-in presidential election bid was lawful

The Polish government spokesman said that the decision to start organising a mail-in presidential election last year, on which senior government officials are now facing criminal charges, was lawful. "The prime minister and the head of the PM's Office were acting in accordance with the Constitution," Piotr Muller said on Tuesday. "All the steps they took were designed to organise the election by a date set by the Constitution."
