The government at its session on Wednesday set Slovakia's objectives following up on the European Pillar of Social Rights Action Plan from May of last year. The country will aim to raise the employment rate for people aged 20-64 to at least 76.5 percent, increase the rate of vocational training for adults and promote social inclusion, especially through poverty reduction. The EU, via the action plan, wants to achieve three goals by 2030 -- to increase the employment rate of the population aged 20-64 to at least 78 percent, to raise the annual participation of all adults in vocational training to at least 60 percent, and to reduce the number of people at risk of poverty or social exclusion by at least 15 million, including at least five million children.
