Govt sacks general manager of state-run social insurer

The government on Wednesday dismissed Lubomir Vazny, an MP for Smer-SD, from the post of general manager of state-run social-insurer Socialna poistovna. The proposal to dismiss Vazny was submitted by Labour Minister Milan Krajniak, who argued, among several other things, that Vazny had violated the general manager's obligations by interfering in the authorisation rights of the insurer's board of supervisors concerning a public tender won by security company Bonul.
