Govt restricts movement in three districts over COVID from Friday

The Czech cabinet today restricted people's movement in the three COVID worst-afflicted districts of Cheb, Sokolov and Trutnov as of the nearest midnight, banning local residents' departure and the arrival of others, Health Minister Jan Blatny said. The restriction will be in force until the end of the state of national emergency, which would end on February 14 if parliament did not approve the cabinet's proposal to prolong it, Blatny said after the cabinet's extraordinary meeting.
