Govt official: Screening buses deployed to test for coronavirus in Hungary

The government is deploying mobile screening buses to test people who may have contracted coronavirus, a state secretary of the Human Resources Ministry said on Friday. At the presentation of the first screening bus in Budapest's 21st district, Bence Retvari told a press conference that the buses which serve prevention programmes nationwide have been repurposed to perform tests of patients whose GPs had prescribed one. Six screening buses are serving central Hungary, he said. District Mayor Szilard Nemeth, a state secretary of the Defence Ministry, said mobile screening units were necessary to reduce the number of coronavirus infections and to support the health-care system.
