Govt official: National minority bodies can bid for HUF 1.6 bn in support

Hungary's minority self-governments, institutions and civil organisations can bid for funds worth 1.6 billion forints (EUR 4.7m) in support of their activities, the state secretary in charge of minority relations said on Wednesday. The support is aimed at helping national minorities to preserve their language, culture and religion, Miklos Soltesz told a press conference in Budapest.
