Govt gives green light to Slovak-US DCA

The government on Wednesday approved the conclusion of the Defence Cooperation Agreement (DCA) between Slovakia and the United States. The agreement still has to be approved by parliament before being ratified by the president. The document has also been approved by the Security Council. If ultimately ratified, the DCA would allow the US Armed Forces to make use of Slovak airbases in Malacky-Kuchyna (Bratislava region) and Sliac (Banska Bystrica region), or any other agreed facilities.
